Transgender Equality Lobby Day

Bay Windows reports that yesterday was Transgender Equality Lobby Day at the State House. I haven't seen reports yet of how many attended or how folks were received, but the National Organization for Women and the Mass Transgender Political Coalition were there to promote bills that would add gender identity to the protected classes in MA non-discrimination laws. According to yesterday's State House News, "Opponents of the legislation have derided it as the 'bathroom bill,' saying it would enable transgender men to use women’s bathrooms."
